The London Beer Factory | Multi-Site Audio, AV & Security Upgrades

HQ Systems has worked closely with The London Beer Factory to deliver a range of technology, audio, AV, and security upgrades across multiple venues within their hospitality portfolio, including Hole in the Wall, The Barrel Project, and Ten Bells.

Each venue presented its own operational requirements, but the overall objective remained the same: to modernise existing systems, improve reliability, enhance the customer experience, and provide staff with simple, intuitive control over audio, entertainment, and security. By delivering consistent, high-quality installations across multiple sites, HQ Systems has helped create reliable, future-ready technology solutions that support the day-to-day operation of these busy hospitality venues

Our Solution

Hole in the Wall

At Hole in the Wall, HQ Systems delivered a complete upgrade of both the venue’s audio and CCTV systems.

The existing audio system and legacy jukebox were removed before installing a new Bose multi-zone audio solution serving the main bar and garden area. Two Bose Music Amplifiers were installed to provide independent control of each zone, allowing staff to play different Sky TV audio or music in separate areas or merge both zones when required. New JBL passive speakers were installed throughout the venue, providing clear, balanced sound and significantly improving customer experience.

To complement the new audio system, the Sky TV distribution was redesigned using HDMI splitters and new HDMI cabling, giving the venue greater flexibility over screen layouts and live sports broadcasting.

A new 10-camera IP CCTV system was also installed, providing comprehensive internal and external coverage. A lockable network cabinet, PoE Network Video Recorder with a 10TB hard drive, dedicated staff viewing monitors, and HDMI-over-Cat6 distribution were installed, giving management and bar staff reliable live monitoring, high-definition recording, and extended storage capacity.

The Barrel Project

At The Barrel Project, HQ Systems modernised the venue's audio system by replacing the existing setup with a fully integrated Sonos multi-zone solution.

Two Sonos Music Amplifiers were installed to independently control the ground floor and mezzanine areas, allowing staff to manage music, Sky TV audio, and wireless microphone inputs with ease. Six JBL speakers were installed throughout the main bar, while the existing DALI speakers were repositioned to provide even sound coverage across the mezzanine level.

The entire system was integrated with the Sonos platform, enabling simple wireless control via iPad while allowing staff to switch seamlessly between background music, live sports, and microphone announcements.

To further enhance the venue's live events capability, a professional wireless microphone system was also installed, providing improved audio quality, greater reliability, and consistent performance for presentations, entertainment, and customer events.

Ten Bells

HQ Systems upgraded security at Ten Bells through the installation of a new 14-camera Hikvision IP CCTV system.

The system provides comprehensive coverage throughout the venue, including customer areas, bars, corridors, entrances, offices, and basement areas. High-definition 4MP cameras were strategically positioned to maximise visibility, while ColorVu technology was utilised on external cameras to deliver full-colour images around the clock.

A new 16-port PoE Network Video Recorder with a 12TB hard drive was installed within the secure network cabinet, providing over 20 days of recorded footage. The system was fully configured for remote viewing through the Hik-Connect app and integrated with the existing office monitoring station, giving management instant access to live and recorded footage from virtually anywhere.
